Welcome to this first edition of the BCS Faculty of Health and Care newsletter.
It’s not just a name change, the Faculty is an important evolution, which is launching with an inaugural conference on 10 October 2024. Development of the new Faculty will be an iterative process and will adapt to the needs of our expanded membership and the input of our stakeholders, including the other professional bodies in the wider informatics field as represented in the Federation for Informatics Professionals (FEDIP).
The aim is for the Faculty to be the home for multiple communities of practice that collectively offers an authoritative voice in matters of policy, implementation and professional development. We warmly invite members to get involved in helping to get the shape the Faculty as an energetic and influential body that is fit for the future of health and care.
Contribute to our Discourse conversation by joining the Faculty of Health and Care channel. You can find this and health and care specialist group channels here.
