There are lots of ways to get involved with your Faculty of Health and Care. We have some exciting opportunities currently as we continue to develop the Faculty, including joining our events and education committees.
We will also have a vacancy for the Chair of the Faculty of Health and Care Board as Philip Scott is stepping down as he has been appointed a Vice President of IMIA. The Faculty Chair role will be leading the development of the Faculty of Health and Care. Look out for the role on the BCS website volunteering page. The BCS Council elections are open during February, and some health and care professionals are standing for election this year. So, don’t forget to vote for your Council.

Events Committee
Our events committee is dedicated to organising an exciting programme of webinars and other events, including our annual Faculty conference. We'd love to hear from you if you are interested in organising events! The committee meets monthly virtually from 18.00 to 19.00. Our education committee's role is to advocate for, develop and promote education for those working in digital data and technical roles and routes into such roles. Reviewers needed for BMJ/BCS Health and Care Informatics Journal
Have you ever wondered how you can get involved in the peer-reviewing process for a journal and exactly how the peer-review process works?
The journal is looking for new reviewers, and you can learn more about what's involved here.

Voting for BCS Council representatives opens at the end of January, and this year, there are BCS members and fellows who work in health and care standing for election. You can see the statements of nominees here. Using your vote as a BCS member is really important as it enables you to have a say in what the organisation does in future. Don’t forget to vote!
Healthcare AI Specialist Group
