Professional Record Standards Body – request for participants

The PRSB is seeking members of professional bodies to participate in a consultation commissioned by NHS England on its Canonical (Common) Data Model (CDM). The CDM will set out how data, such as person demographics and health and care information, should be structured and coded to support secondary uses of data for operational management and reporting. The first uses of the Canonical Data Model will be to inform national reporting dataset specifications and the Federated Data Platform (FDP). The initial focus will be on the following use cases: theatre scheduling and productivity reporting (meeting on 30 April) and equipment and devices management (16 June). If you are interested in joining an expert reference group, please contact jan.hoogewerf@bcs.uk.

Are We Ready for Digital? FEDIP Campaign – get involved!

The NHS is undergoing a major shift from analogue to digital systems, but is the workforce fully prepared? Digital transformation is about more than just new technology—it impacts workflows, professional responsibilities, and patient care.
The “Are We Ready?” campaign, led by FEDIP and the Healthcare Project and Change Association (HPCA), invites NHS professionals to join a three-part webinar series and final roundtable discussion, ensuring staff are central to shaping digital transformation.
